Monster in the Closet

When I was a kid, I was always afraid of calling down the stairs to my parents. Many times, I would get scared at night because we had ghosts in my house. My family had owned the house for five generations and quite a few people had died there. I would always be afraid to call for my mom and dad though. I would hear noises upstairs and then I would go sit on the stairs and listen to the tv. I was always trying to muster up the courage to call for my mom and dad because I would get in trouble.

Talking to Myself

So if I were to time travel, I would find myself on my deathbed and ask future me about life. I would talk to her about how to manage a home and how to raise kids. I would also ask about college and what career I ended up going into. I would like to be a teacher now but I do not know if that is going to pan out with the way the education system in america is changing. I would ask future me about how to truly achieve happiness and nirvana. I wonder if it involves going to music festivals. Speaking of which, I am so excited for scamp with my new camping gear. I am totally taking my new cooler. It looks like it will be awesome for camping.

Hudson Honors

Here are my nominees for the Hudson Honors:

Most interesting part of class: I think the most interesting part of class was all of the books that we read. I loved Catcher in the Rye, 1984, and Lord of the Flies.

Least favorite part of class: my least favorite part of class is blogs. I am better at midweeks now but this year I am really lacking on blogging. I am so glad that I am done.

Hardest I've laughed in this class: I laughed most when Rylan would get us completely off topic. Rylan and Hudson got completely into an argument about which way quotation marks go. It was ridiculous.

Favorite memory of this class: When Jake and Dylan got into the time and space debate for two days straight. It was hilarious and I still do not know what the real answer was.

Best thing about Hudson as a teacher: the best thing about Hudson is that she can be like a kid with us but she's also an adult in her own creepy, childish way.

Anything Hudson could do to make this class better: I honestly think that there isn't much to improve on. This is my favorite class and I wouldn't change anything.

Any final comments for Hudson: she's the best teacher I've had and this year has been so much fun for me. Hudson is one of the people that I connected best with this year and I would like to thank her for being a great sport and putting up with all of my complaining. I'm so thankful to have her in my life and we should totally hang out when I graduate.

Older Hudson Honors:

Most Interesting Part of This Class:
When we read Beowulf
Least Favorite Part of This Class:

GRAMMAR PACKETS
Hardest I Laughed in This Class:

"Grammar is a never ending infomercial. You think it's over and then it's like, But wait, there's More!"
Favorite Memory from This Class:
When Jeffrey and Brody had a sword fight in the classroom
Best Thing About Hudson as a Teacher:
We can get her completely off topic but she somehow manages to get everything done on time
Thing Hudson Could do to Make This Class Better For Future Classes:
Nothing. She's perfect. And a vampire so ten points to Gryffindor.
Any Final Comments for Hudson:
It's been a great year kid. Keep it up.

Weirdest Compliment

The weirdest compliment I have ever received was about my eyebrows. My bud, Chris, has a friend named Teegan and one day, she told me that she loved my eyebrows so much that she wanted to eat them. It was weird. I told Chris about it and he was just as confused as I was. We asked Teegan what she meant and she said that she wanted to eat them because then they would become hers. I was confused but also flattered at the same time. I have gotten many compliments on my eyebrows but that was a first. I never saw that one coming. It was strange, needless to say.

Words from the Wise

Okay so this week we have words from the wise. The great seniors of 2017. First of all, you must learn this saying and stick by it. "Be polite. Stay to the right." STAY TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STAIRS NO MATTER WHAT. YOU WILL BE TRAMPLED IF YOU DO NOT. This is vitally important to surviving until your senior year. Another thing. Let me tell you a story. Hannah and I were in the computer lab one day and Mr. Spangler came in with some of his students. The kids sat down at their computers and saw that a couple other seniors besides us were in there. The other seniors were playing games and Spangler's kids decided that they could too. Obviously the kids got in trouble because they were not working. They tried to use the seniors playing games as an excuse to play games themselves. Spangler looked at them and said, "They're seniors. They can do whatever they want." Remember that when you become seniors. At least when Spangler is in the lab across from Hudson's, you can do virtually whatever you want. I hope these things help you survive your senior year. It will be hard and at times it will suck. Like hardcore. But you will get through it. I promise you. It will fly by before you know it.

Senior Wills

Okay. So I'm friends with many of the juniors. They are all like kids to me and I love them dearly. If I had to make a senior will and leave things to them, I would leave my seat in Hudson's room to Taylor. She deserves it. I have sat in that seat for two years now and I took it when Chase Miller left because he was my best friend. I love that seat in Hudson's room. It is my favorite place to sit in the whole school. I would leave my computer in Miss Krohn's room to Shania because I hope that she can make great projects like I did with my groups in Senior Seminar. I would leave my seat in art class to Timothy who helped me so much with the art aspect of the play during my senior year. These kids have touched my heart more than I can even explain. I love them like family. They are some of my best friends and I am honestly really sad to leave. I know in my heart that I will never leave no matter where I am in life. I love this town and I love the people that I have met here. Washburn kids are family. Washburn is my home.

Fangirling

I love Disney. I am obsessed. I am so excited to go see the new Beauty and the Beast movie tomorrow. Emma Watson is perfect and she is going to be amazing. I am more excited than my little sister is. My favorite Disney movies include, Tangled, Lilo and Stitch, Beauty and the Beast, The Princess and the Frog, Pochahontas, Inside Out, Monsters, Inc., The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Toy Story, Toy Story 3 (I hated Toy Story 2), Mulan, and Mary Poppins. I love them all but The Princess and the Frog is definitely my favorite.

Toys

When I was a wee lass, I loved to ride my bike. I would always ride it down the sidewalk and pretend that I was on a motorcycle. My grandpa had a motorcycle when I was little and he would let me ride on the back and we would go a few blocks down and pick raspberries and then go back and have ice cream with the raspberries. I loved it. Because of my grandpa, I have always wanted a purple harley davidson. I love them and they are gorgeous. I love purple harleys. I have been obsessed with motorcycles ever since I was little.

And they Lived Happily Ever After

I totally ship Flynn Rider and Rapunzel from Tangled. My bud and I are going to cosplay them and I am so excited to put together a costume and a character. Chris is super excited that he gets to question why everyone is singing all the time. I am excited that he wants to do it with me because I love Tangled. It is one of my top three favorite Disney movies. I love Lilo and Stitch, The Princess and the Frog, and Tangled. I love, love, love, all of them and Chris is so excited to do Flynn and Rapunzel that it just makes my heart melt...💚💙💜

Happiness

Happiness is embodied in my amazingly perfect boyfriend. Happiness is Harry Potter marathons. Happiness is seeing my mom pull up in the driveway after she's been working on the road for two months. Happiness is my best friend and me driving to LaRose before school and blasting Free Bird and missing Nico. Happiness is finishing an art project for the person that means everything to me and their face when I finally give it to them. Happiness is getting all of the toxic people out of my life so that I can be the best me and I can be a healthy person. Happiness is finding the person to quote Deadpool with you. Happiness is planning to build an amazing house together. Happiness is the pain I feel when I finally get to hold him because I know that he is real and he isn't going anywhere. Happiness is the carefree Saturday mornings in February when you can open the windows and stroll around the house in shorts because it is so warm outside. Happiness is the little things in life that you appreciate more than anything else in this godforsaken world.

Reality TV

If I had a reality tv show it would be about how awesome and amazing my school is and how poppin' my friends are. Hannah Lynn would be one of the main people in my show and we would show everybody all of our bumpin' times and how much fun we have. It's always lit with Hannah Lynn. Maybe we would call the show Lit with Tina Lynn and Meg Danielle. It would be amazing. If we had a show we would have enough money to do what we really really want to do which is go concert hopping and then go see Carl in Florida.I would love to go see Carl and take a trip to Colorado to go hiking and camping with Tina and Carl and Richard.

Paradise

My paradise would be my house that I build with Chris. It has a huge library, a painting room, a clay room, a theater, a common room from Harry Potter, and an observatory. I am so excited to give Chris the greenhouse that he wants. He also wants a pool that looks like a natural pond but it is a treated pool. I am so pumped to build this house with him.

I imagine the greenhouse to look something like this.

The natural pool would look like one of these.

The observatory would be something like this. I want the roof to open up with all of the glass like this so that we can sit inside and look at the stars. Off to the left of the position of the picture would be the guest room and off to the right of it would be the library.

This is what my living room in my tower would look like. It is based off of the Gryffindor common room.

When you go up the stairs on the outter wall of the common room, you come up into the master bedroom which would look like this. I love it so much. Both the common room and my room would be circular because they are inside the tower.

Kindness.. Pass it on

Kindness is a gift. One time, my mom was in line at the grocery store and the lady in front of her paid for our groceries. It was very kind and my mom is now a strong believer of the "Kindness.. Pass It On" movement. This is a movement that basically says, if someone does something nice for you, you pass it on to someone else. The goal of it is to make our society better. Someone could be having a terrible day and if you just tell them that you like their outfit or you think they look really nice today, it could cheer them up immensely. I had a friend at my old school who was very suicidal and I told him one day that he was going to be okay and that I loved him and he told me years later that he had been planning on killing himself that night and he didn't because of me. Kindness is a simple thing that many people don't take the time to understand. Do something kind for someone today. You never know, it may save a life.

My family

Image result for black walnut tree farm
This picture describes my family because we have a tree farm. We don't grow christmas tree or anything but we have black walnut trees on my property. In many ways, our farm and our trees is a part of us. We love being out in the woods and playing in the creek.

Image result for umphreys mcgee
This is a picture of an Umphrey's Mcgee concert from the back of the stage. Last year my mom's new boyfriend, Greg, wanted to take us all to an Umphrey's concert on my birthday. We went and it opened a whole new world of music to me. Hannah and I are thinking about going to a concert in Milwaukee in March because we liked the concert so much.

Image result for grateful dead
This one is of my mother's beloved Grateful Dead. I was raised with their music and I still love it. It is a very big part of my life and my heart hurts that I will never get to see Jerry Garcia sing with them.

Related image
This is another picture of something Greg introduced my family to over the last year. I didn't get to watch all of the Cubs games leading up to the series but I faithfully watched all of the games during the World Series. Greg has added so many positive things to our lives in the past year and it makes me very happy to see that my mom is happy again.

Image result for goats
I love this picture. It looks like my baby goat Stephen. He is a sweetheart. He is crazy though. He does back flips off the wood pile. My theory is that he has too much energy for his little body. He was the runt of the litter so the goat in the picture is about the same size as he will ever be. I love how little he is. He is so cute and I love my baby.

Reincarnation

If I were to be reincarnated, I would love to be a sea otter. They always look so happy and care free. I think it would be a good fit for me because I love to swim. I could swim all day every day if I were able to. I would love to be an otter and sleep in the sun and swim in the water and play all day. Human life is just so complicated and depressing. I envy the otter so much. They seem so happy. I hope to be reincarnated. I only hope that I get to be a sea otter.
